REFLECTIONS
at
Oakwood Manor
Equine Assisted Learning Services
Where
horses, counselors, and equine specialists provide a
hands-on approach to working through life's obstacles.

Reflections
clients participate in custom designed activities involving
horses. A skilled counselor helps to connect activities to
real life situations, and an equine specialist ensures the
safety of horses and participants while helping to interpret
the horses' actions and reactions. These activities do not
involve horseback riding, and no experience with horses is
needed.
Sessions are
designed specific to the individual or group receiving
services. Topics we incorporate into sessions may include
creative problem solving, improving communication,
establishing boundaries, and team building, among others.
Services are
provided to families, individuals, and groups such as
professionals, students, and at-risk youth.

Nicky has owned
horses her whole life. She has coached and trained
horses and students for over 20 years, including
breeding and developing quality world class race and
show horses, and competing successfully around the
country. Nicky chose to pursue her life-long passion of
training horses and their people full time after
teaching fifth grade for 15 years. Nicky’s novel
combination of keen horse sense and teaching ability
make her an asset to our REFLECTIONS
team. |
